RESTON, Va., May 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), a health, national security, and engineering solutions company, was awarded a prime contract by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to provide professional information technology (IT) and technical services to the NIH Center for Information Technology. The multiple-award blanket purchase agreement has a five-year period of performance and a total contract ceiling of $100 million for all awardees. Leidos is one of five contractors eligible to compete for task orders under the contract. Work will be performed at NIH facilities in Bethesda, Md.
NIH, a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is the primary agency responsible for biomedical and health-related research. Under the contract, Leidos will provide IT and technical services including: program and project management; strategic planning; consulting; systems architecture; systems design; implementation and release management; application and web development; business analytics; requirements management; and quality assurance and testing.
