"Laureate is already deeply committed to serving Hispanic students, which is illustrated by its strong presence in both Latin America, with 25 higher education institutions and 400,000 students, and in the U.S., with Walden University, a leader in providing advanced degrees to Hispanic students," said Dr. David P. Lopez, president of NHU. "NHU has much in common with Laureate. We share a focus on student outcomes and on the importance of providing access to quality higher education for underserved populations." Dr. Lopez went on to say "Our board of trustees believes the partnership with Laureate is vitally important to insure NHU continues to fulfill its mission of providing access to quality higher education for the underserved. I have never been more excited and optimistic about the future of NHU."
