"Big brands continue to find value in exhibiting at the National Hardware Show," said Ed Several, Group Vice President & Show Manager, National Hardware Show. "As we celebrate the National Hardware Show's 65th year, many brands have been with us from the beginning, such as Hyde Tools, General Tools & Instruments, Warp Brothers, Ferry-Morse Seed Company and Great Neck Saw. As well, we're happy to see Stanley-National Hardware, WD-40 Company, ITW Brands, Cooper Lighting, Jarden Safety and Security, and Suncast Corporation return to the Show."
This marks the 65th anniversary of the National Hardware Show®, which is completely sold out of exhibit space to manufacturers from the Home Improvement, Lawn & Garden/Outdoor Living, Tailgating and other key industries. The list of attendees promises to be one of the strongest line-up of buyers, representing not only traditional retail and wholesale outlets but untraditional channels like grocery, mass, drug, catalog, Internet and international retailers. This includes industry giants like Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Sears, True Value, Costco, Sam's Club, Ace Hardware and many more representing more than $210 billion in sales revenue. Attendance overall is up more than 1% over last year -- quite a feat in a challenging economy.
Hyde Tools has been an exhibitor at the National Hardware Show® since the early days, and according to Karen Wilson, Hyde's corporate marketing officer, the show remains a key annual event for her company. "The National Hardware Show has been a very important vehicle for building our brand leadership," Wilson said. "We've been at the show since the beginning, and we're really looking forward to seeing our business partners this year."
Ferry-Morse Seed Company is also looking at the show as an opportunity to solidify its position as a leader in the Lawn & Garden/Outdoor Living arena. The company's product lineup will include packaged garden seeds, seed starting products, potting mix, lawn seed, flower bulbs, gardening gifts and garden helper accessories. "As a national company, the National Hardware Show allows us the opportunity to network with allied industry members and media contacts, but, most importantly, buyers from across the country," said Ashley Mosier, marketing director for Ferry-Morse. "Before our eyes we're seeing gardening transition from a trend to a lifestyle, and the National Hardware Show is our opportunity to discuss the current and upcoming gardening season with all of those key people."
Other major brand names that will be exhibiting include Rio Brands, Inc., Coleman Cable, Inc., HAAN Corporation, Cosco Home & Office Products and First Alert/BRK Jarden Companies.
The National Hardware Show® will be held May 4-6, 2010, at the Las Vegas Convention Center and celebrates a rich history spanning 65 years of serving the home improvement marketplace. From its early beginnings in New York during the post-World War II housing boom and eventual move to Chicago in the 1970s to today's current location in Las Vegas, the National Hardware Show continually evolves through the industry's involvement, commitment and passion to improving America's quality of life through their homes. Today, the National Hardware Show is the place for global manufacturers, associations, organizations and the media to unveil their new products, ideas and insights to a broad spectrum of home improvement resellers.
