National Geographic Learning Materials to Support Students in West Virginia

BOSTON, Aug. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- National Geographic Learning (NGL), part of Cengage Learning, today announced significant adoptions of K-5 Science, 9-12 Chemistry and Forensic Science across 29 counties in West Virginia. NGL solutions available to these schools for the 2016-2017 school year to better engage students include:

• National Geographic Learning Science: combines instruction in Science and Engineering Practices, Disciplinary Core Ideas, and Crosscutting Concepts to bring science learning to life. Materials promote science success through real-world science research with National Geographic Explorers, scientists, and photographers.

• National Geographic Learning Forensic Science: integrates math, chemistry, biology, physics, and earth science with content aligned to the National Science Education Standards. Resources provide students with dynamic, visually powerful resources that deliver scientific content paired with hands-on classroom and lab activities.

• National Geographic Learning Chemistry: introduces students to the language of Chemistry and builds up to theory using math coverage and problem-solving exercises. These materials make chemistry more accessible and relevant to a wide-range of students.
