WASHINGTON, Feb. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA), the nation's leading nonprofit promoting cybersecurity and privacy awareness and education, is proud to attend RSA® Conference 2016 as an association sponsor. RSA Conference is the world's largest global security symposium, offering a comprehensive forum to connect with the technology, trends and people that will protect our digital world. Similar to last year, RSA Conference's 2016 philanthropic initiative will focus on educating kids about safe and responsible Internet use.
NCSA has several noteworthy events planned. From February 29 to March 4, it will have an ongoing presence at the CyberSafety Village. In addition, it will co-host the much-anticipated Nonprofits on the Loose cocktail party, participating in a timely, intriguing panel discussion about the opportunities and challenges to securing the Internet of Things, and joining key industry partners in the "Keeping Kids Cyber Safe & #CyberAware" Twitter chat.
"We very much look forward to attending RSA Conference this year. Now more than ever, Internet users of all ages are beginning to understand the importance of protecting their online lives. We believe the conference offers the perfect backdrop for us to continue to communicate our STOP. THINK. CONNECT. message," said Michael Kaiser, NCSA's executive director. "There are countless networking and learning opportunities where the latest trends in cybersecurity are shared. And we are particularly excited to build on the enthusiasm generated last year at the CyberSafety Village. NCSA's team will enlist volunteers to educate and empower their communities ‒ with the goal of inspiring anyone who uses technology to do so safely, securely, ethically and productively."
"RSA Conference is thrilled to have the National Cyber Security Alliance as a part of our 25th Anniversary event," and Sandra Toms, vice president and curator, RSA Conference. "Together NCSA and RSAC are introducing a host of educational elements within the CyberSafety Village to reach new audiences. NCSA's commitment to promoting cybersecurity awareness and education complements our vision and will greatly enhance our efforts."
