ATLANTA, April 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- "Quality preschool education is an essential ingredient in the development of young children. As the first online training company to formally partner with the Council for Professional Recognition, we are using online technology to elevate quality in the early childhood education workforce," says Carla S. Rogg, MSW, President, ProSolutions Training. ProSolutions Training and the Council for Professional Recognition recently signed a formal partnership agreement that aligns the online training company with the official credentialing authority for the CDA (the Child Development Associate® National Credentialing Program™).

The new partnership is intended to support high quality preschool education by strengthening teachers' pathways to the professional CDA credential. "Quality matters in early childhood education. That is now an accepted fact, having been demonstrated by aggregated research over the past 20 years. This partnership is a step in enhancing the professionalism of early educators who play a critical role in the education of young children all across the country," said Ms. Rogg.
Early educators in many states are required to have an entry-level credential to work as licensed professionals in the classroom with children ages birth to five. The path to the CDA credential includes a 120-hour curriculum, provided online by ProSolutions Training, which is being revised to correlate with the Council's new credentialing process starting June 1, 2013. The Council is "streamlining the CDA process to make it more valuable as a professional development experience for candidates," according to its new guidelines.
"Targeted online training for the early care and education community is a relatively new idea, but the research-based curriculum of ProSolutions Training is backed up by more than 20 years of experience in providing professional development to the early childhood and social services fields through our parent company, Care Solutions, Inc.," said Ms. Rogg. ProSolutions Training's CDA Course curriculum includes 120 course hours in eight subject areas and is available for $399.00.
