National credential program names first online training partner

ProSolutions Training and the Council for Professional Recognition recently signed a formal partnership agreement that aligns the online training company with the official credentialing authority for the CDA (the Child Development Associate® National Credentialing Program™).

The new partnership is intended to support high quality preschool education by strengthening teachers' pathways to the professional CDA credential. "Quality matters in early childhood education. That is now an accepted fact, having been demonstrated by aggregated research over the past 20 years. This partnership is a step in enhancing the professionalism of early educators who play a critical role in the education of young children all across the country," said Ms. Rogg. 

Early educators in many states are required to have an entry-level credential to work as licensed professionals in the classroom with children ages birth to five.  The path to the CDA credential includes a 120-hour curriculum, provided online by ProSolutions Training, which is being revised to correlate with the Council's new credentialing process starting June 1, 2013.  The Council is "streamlining the CDA process to make it more valuable as a professional development experience for candidates," according to its new guidelines.
