National Civil Rights Museum Announces New Board of Directors
MEMPHIS, Tenn., July 13, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Civil Rights Museum has five new members joining the Board of Directors effective July 1, 2011.
- Melonie Johnson serves as Vice President of Operations at Tunica Roadhouse, Caesars Entertainment, Robinsonville, Mississippi.
- Dana J. Davis is the Vice President of Basketball Operations for the Memphis Grizzlies.
- Senator Beverly Marrero represents District 30 in Shelby County and is a lifelong Tennessean.
- Ziad S. Ojakli is the Ford Motor Company Group Vice President of Government and Community Relations.
- Spence Wilson, Jr. is Vice President of Kemmons Wilson, Inc.
They join 30 additional Board of Directors who represent corporate, legislative, community and educational organizations.
The National Civil Rights Museum is located at the Lorraine Motel- Memphis, TN, site of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in 1968. The Museum opened in 1991 with the mission of chronicling key episodes of the American Civil Rights Movement and the legacy of this movement to inspire participation in civil and human rights efforts globally, through collections, exhibitions and educational programs.
