National Christian Foundation (NCF) Moves Into the Top 20 List of U.S. Charities

ATLANTA-BASED CHARITY JUMPS 15 SPOTS TO BECOME THE 19TH LARGEST NON-PROFIT

ATLANTA, Oct. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- According to the new Philanthropy 400 list released on October 17 by The Chronicle of Philanthropy, the Atlanta-based National Christian Foundation (NCF) has become the 19th largest charity in America. NCF moved up 15 spots on the list with a 61% increase in contributions over last year. National Christian Foundation joins the ranks of other well-known non-profits in the top 20 including Habitat for Humanity International (#13), World Vision (#11), and Schwab Charitable Fund (#7). Overall, NCF has raised over $4 billion in contributions and granted out almost $3 billion since their inception in 1982.

The key to our increasing growth is our ability to help them multiply the impact of their gifts through tax-wise strategies such as asset-based giving which enables them to donate appreciated securities, business interests, and real estate."
