National Center for Creative Aging Presents Engaging Arts Webinar Series, Providing Insight on Creativity in Aging Practices From Leading Arts Professionals Across the Country
WASHINGTON, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- As the population of older adults increases, the need for quality, innovative arts programs rises. The National Center for Creative Aging (NCCA) will present two distance learning webinar series on arts making programs funded in part by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation. This informative online series will feature best practices, research and resource development from highly acclaimed professionals in the arts and aging fields from across the country.
"This distance learning series highlights research and best practice programs that engage older adults in music making," said Mary Luehrsen, executive director of the NAMM Foundation. "Together with our Members in the music products industry, we are honored to work with NCCA on this initiative that inspires active participation in music making at any and every age."
A variety of topics will be explored, including: How can you create effective and intriguing creative programs in a variety of healthcare settings? How do these programs improve social engagement, the physical and mental state of older adults, and their overall quality of life?
