The newly released survey benchmarks the quality of customer experience provided by 175 major U.S. brands across 14 industries, including retailers, hotels, banks, credit card providers, airlines and investment firms.

The survey, published by Forrester in the report, The Customer Experience Index, 2014, is based on online responses from more than 7,500 U.S. consumers. Conducted in October 2013, the survey's questions were designed to capture consumer perceptions of how enjoyable and easy companies were to do business with, as well as how effectively they met consumers' needs.
