NEW YORK, July 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- With the announcement of Alfred Angelo's bankruptcy and store closure, brides and bridesmaids across the country have been left without their dresses and without refunds. Independent retailers have teamed up with bridal manufacturers to help these brides.
The National Bridal Sale Event, created to offer brides great deals on wedding dresses while supporting local retailers, will be extended through July 31. Members of the International Bridal Manufacturers Association are supporting bridal shops with special pricing on in-stock gowns and waived rush charges, allowing shops to offer discounts up to 50% on new gowns as well as sell samples for as little as $99.
"We want to help all of the brides left without gowns because Alfred Angelo closed down last week," says Sue Maslowski, chair of the second annual National Bridal Sale Event. "Our 730 participating stores are extending our event to make sure brides don't go without their dream dress on one of the most important days of their lives."
To qualify for special pricing, brides should simply bring their paid Alfred Angelo receipts into a participating store. Maslowski also reminds brides to call their credit card companies and ask for refunds on gowns they did not receive.
