National Black Chamber of Commerce Holds Annual Conference in Chicago
WASHINGTON, June 19, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- National Black Chamber of Commerce announces its 22nd Annual Conference to be held in Chicago, IL July 10-12, 2014 at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers. The theme is "NBCC NOW", encouraging and indicating that action is required now to grow your business, your personal wealth and your individual goals.
The event opens with the Chairman's Networking Reception on the Riverwalk hosted by title sponsor Visa. Some of your favorite celebrities will be in attendance to greet you including Chef Roble and J. Alexander Martin, founder of FUBU. Each morning begins with a session on exercise, nutrition and meditation advice from David Otunga. He is the only Harvard-educated lawyer, movie star, professional wrestler, reality star, bodybuilder, and TV personality in the world!
Alphonso Jackson, Vice Chairman (recently retired), JP Morgan Chase, and Former Secretary Housing and Urban Development will discuss the American economy and what strategies should be utilized now to improve our great country and make it stronger. Our corporate partner MassMutual has one of the most experienced teams in the retirement industry and will guide us through the complexities of planning for retirement now.
Illinois Governor Pat Quinn, who works closely with our affiliate Illinois Black Chamber of Commerce and its 23 chapters, will discuss Illinois and his vision for minority business development.
Again, this year we are presenting the NBCC House of Fashion. Claudia Jordan, of Deal or no Deal and Celebrity Apprentice, will be our Mistress of Ceremony for this very glamorous event. Designers and models are invited to participate in the fashion show on Friday, July 11. And speaking of fashion, all women are invited to wear their finest hat for "Women's Afternoon Tea".
Attendees come from all over the world for presentations on international trade, capital access, hotel ownership and Overcriminalization (the trend to use the criminal law rather than the civil law to solve every problem).
This event takes place at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers, located on the Chicago River, near the Navy Pier, Magnificent Mile shopping, and Millennium Park.
