HOLLYWOOD, Calif., July 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Exactly one year after the publication of Rude Buay ... The Unstoppable, and almost two and a half months after its Spanish translation Chico Rudo ... Rude Buay ... The Unstoppable is set in Miami, Jamaica and Colombia. This original story, sauteed in a gritty and twisted flavor, has been tugging at the hearts of the Asian community ever since its release last year, indicative of the debut signing event held in a predominantly Asian community in Los Angeles, California. Andrews, who is planning on taking this action packed thriller to the Beijing International Book Fair in September, loves the timing of this new release and its appeal to the Chinese market.
Rude Buay ... The Unstoppable, a story with embedded scenes in the martial arts genre, gives rise to not only a Caribbean American hero but an International one as well. The Caribbean has been without a hero since "Ivanhoe Martin" played by Jimmy Cliff in The Harder They Come back in 1973. Rude Buay emerges as a new brandish hero with a no holds barred mindset. His wittiness and tenacity makes him into a character not only possessing grit but longevity as well. Trained as a DEA in Miami and forced to return to Jamaica to take on the biggest and most sophisticated drug cartel ever assembled, this action hero character is placed in an elite league of protagonists.
This Chinese edition will not only hit the Asian reading community but extend its roots as an International account, thus creating the segue for volume II: Rude Buay ... The Untouchable, set in China, Jamaica, Miami and Colombia. This sequel could hit the literary scene as early as early spring 2012.
Meanwhile, signings scheduled in Puerto Rico this August for the Spanish edition Chico Rudo ... El Imparable will also serve to create an international climate for introduction of the Chinese edition in Beijing according to Books That Will Enhance Your Life.
The film is currently in development and could plunge into pre-production phase soon after the novel's introduction in Beijing according to Andrews Leadership International (A L I) -- one of the production companies for the project.
Rude Buay ... The Unstoppable is a blend of Traffic meets Casino Royale with Charlie's Angels gone corrupt.
