SALT LAKE CITY, June 1, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Utah Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) will be presenting the Allies in Action State Award to Utah Representative Steve Eliason at 6 p.m., June 9, 2015 at the Salt Lake City Public Safety Building. Allies in Action is an annual awards program sponsored by AFSP whereby members of Congress, federal agencies, mental health organizations, and state representatives who have done exemplary work in preventing suicide are recognized for their actions. This award is being given to the Representative for his continued leadership over the past four years for expanding suicide prevention and mental health initiatives across Utah.
