William E. McCracken - CEO at CA Technologies - Joins Board of Leading Organization Focused on Advancing Board Leadership
WASHINGTON, June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the leading organization dedicated to advancing exemplary board leadership, today announced the election of William E. McCracken to join their board of directors.

Bill McCracken is chief executive officer at CA Technologies, one of the world's largest information technology management software companies. Bill joined CA Technologies' Board of Directors in 2005, and held the roles of both non-executive and executive chairman from 2007 – 2010. He became chief executive officer in January 2010.
Prior to joining CA Technologies, Bill held numerous executive positions at IBM during his 36-year tenure, most recently as a member of the Chairman's Worldwide Management Council and general manager of IBM's printing division. He previously served as president of IBM's EMEA and Asia PC Company and as general manager of marketing, sales and distribution for IBM PC Company.
Bill has been the president of Executive Consulting Group, LLC, and was a director of IKON Office Solutions. Bill is a commissioner of the 2009 Blue Ribbon Commission on Risk Governance, and is a member of NACD's New Jersey Chapter. He is a participant in the Chairmen's Forum of the Millstein Center for Corporate Governance and Performance at the Yale School of Management. Bill is also chairman of the board of Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey.
In 2009, Bill was named by the NACD Directorship as one of the top 100 most influential people in the boardroom. He is also a member of CNBC's Carbon Council and has appeared as a guest on the network.
