National And Local Design, Architecture Awards Fuel Popularity Of Luxury Hillside Townhome Community Overlooking Las Vegas Valley
LAS VEGAS, Aug. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Vu by Christopher Homes, a hillside townhome community overlooking the Las Vegas Valley, is one of the nation's most award-winning new developments. In recent months, the stunningly beautiful community took home top honors both nationally and locally in a number of industry competitions for its design, architecture and interior merchandising, fueling its popularity among homebuyers seeking a luxury lifestyle with the reduced upkeep of a townhome.
Located in the master-planned community of MacDonald Highlands, Vu was recognized in January 2018 by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) with Gold and Silver Awards, and a Gold Award by Best in American Living Awards (BALA). The awards were presented during the 2018 International Builders Show in Orlando.
Vu was honored with NAHB's prestigious Gold Award for Best Architectural Design of an Attached Community. Vu also brought home a Silver Award for Best Interior Merchandising of a Model Priced $500,000 to $700,000. Winners were selected from a field of over 1,300 entries during a three-day judging process by a panel of seven industry professionals from across the country.
And rounding out the International Builders Show, Vu walked away with BALA's best-in-class Gold Award as the Best Townhouse Community in the country with specific mention of Vu's stunning 2,639 sq. ft. multi-level Residence 3.
In June, Vu received three Silver Nugget Awards from the Southern Nevada Homebuilders Association (SNHBA), including the top award for Best Home of the Year for Vu's Residence 3. Vu's Residence 1 took home top honors for interior merchandising for homes over $500,000; and Vu's multi-level Residence 3 was also recognized as the Best Attached Home over $400,000.
Vu was also an Award of Merit winner in the Gold Nugget Awards at the Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC) Nationals competition and finalist in the category for Best Multi-Family Housing Community with 15 or fewer units per acre.
"The Nationals, BALA and the Gold Nuggets represent the nation's most significant design awards in the homebuilding industry. To be recognized by all three organizations is an amazing accomplishment of Vu's best-in-class team of architects and designers," said J. Christopher Stuhmer, founder and CEO of Christopher Homes, and long-time Las Vegas luxury homebuilder. "Together, our talented team created spectacular contemporary homes with floorplans that are both gorgeous and livable."
According to Stuhmer, Vu's strong sales demonstrate the demand in Southern Nevada for attached luxury homes that are comparable in space to single-family homes, but with low maintenance to better accommodate travel and a "lock and leave" lifestyle preferred by empty-nesters and young professionals.
Nestled on the mountainside of MacDonald Highlands with views of city lights, the Las Vegas Strip, DragonRidge golf course and the surrounding mountains, Vu features 110 townhomes ranging in size from 2,639 to over 4,600 sq. ft. with the feel of single-family homes including courtyards and backyards. Homes are priced from $945,000 to over $1,450,000. Two new Vu neighborhoods – Vu Estates and VuPointe - have recently opened, expanding the availability of Vu's popular floorplans and thoughtful siting that ensures spectacular views for each home.
