LAKE GENEVA, Wis., Dec. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy® (NAWCO®) Board of Directors today announced the departure Cheryl Robillard, PT, WCC, CLT. Robillard has reached the five-term limit of service.
"Over her long tenure on the board, Cheryl has helped navigate NAWCO through strong growth as the Wound Care Certified (WCC®) credential became widely valued. She also helped guide the development of in-demand specialty certifications such as the Diabetic Wound Certified® (DWC®), Ostomy Management Specialist® (OMS), Lymphedema Lower Extremity (LLE) and Nutrition Wound Care Certified (NWCC™)," said Cindy Broadus, Executive Director of NAWCO. "We are grateful for her time and expertise and wish her the best in her future endeavors. She will be missed."
Robillard joined the board in 2003, serving as a member. At the time of her retirement, she had been serving as the board-elected Secretary/Treasurer. As a physical therapist, she championed NAWCO's multidisciplinary approach to wound care certification. She will continue to practice as a Clinical Specialist for Aegis Therapies in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
