SOCMA Recognizes Specialty Chemical Maker for Commitment to Improving Environmental, Health, Safety & Security Initiative

FORT MILL, S.C., Dec. 2, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Nation Ford Chemical (NFC) is pleased to announce it has been recognized for exemplary efforts in improving its environmental, health, safety and security program by the Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA), a trade association representing batch, custom and specialty chemical manufacturers.

NFC participates in SOCMA's ChemStewards® program, which encourages companies to operate their facilities in an environment that guarantees safety and environmental compliance to all stakeholders.

NFC representatives Phillip McCarter, Brooke DiDomenico and Harlan Hendrick will be accepting a Silver Performance Improvement Award at SOCMA's 92^nd Annual Dinner on December 9 in New York City. This is the fifth Silver Performance Improvement Award NFC has received from SOCMA in the last four years.

NFC is being recognized for its successful efforts in the area of Employee Training and Engagement, which includes process safety and emergency response improvements.
