Natalie D.S. Grant is recognized by Continental Who's Who
MIDDLETOWN, Conn., Oct. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Continental Who's Who recognizes Natalie D.S. Grant as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in recognition of her contributions to the Nonprofit, Real Estate and Engineering fields.
Natalie brings a multitude of experience and education to all of her employment opportunities. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, a Master of Science in Management and Master of Business Administration from Albertus Magnus College, and a Masters of Science in Manufacturing Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
"There are two great passions in my life," Natalie said. "The love of aviation/aerospace and the love of the country of my birth, Jamaica W.I.; which fuels a burning desire to see sustained economic growth within my lifetime. I have been fortunate enough to live and fulfill one of my passions for the past ten years in aerospace and have now started my pursuit of passion number two."
Currently, Natalie holds multiple roles which feed both of her passions - she is Director of the P.O.W.E.R. Inc. Effort (Provide Opportunity With Economic Relief), whose mission, according to its Facebook page, is to "promote accelerated economic growth in Jamaica W.I. within [her] lifetime."
Natalie's second role is in Measurement Systems and Instrumentation Engineering at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in Hartford, Connecticut. "I've been fortunate to be exposed to what high performance teams are like, and have seen the true benefits of teamwork from the early stages of my career up through personally influencing teams. I've coached and mentored external and internal team members which have increased group skill sets and performance. I have a better appreciation of the team building cycle and am very proud to have facilitated on teams reaching the performance stage. I am definitely an avid proponent of team work."
Additionally, Natalie uses her Real Estate business as a source of income to help fund her P.O.W.E.R Inc. effort – she is a REALTOR® at William Raveis Real Estate. In recognition of the power of team work; Natalie leverages the transactions from real estate sales across the globe and invests 50% of her profits into helping further P.O.W.E.R. and its progress. She has set a goal of quickly doubling the supply of successful bee farmers with these investments – a goal that will be realized with approximately 130 real estate transactions/ referrals per month for the next five years.
To further her professional development, Natalie is affiliated with the International Women's Leadership Association, STEM initiatives via the National Science Foundation, the Society of Women Engineers, and the National Society of Black Engineers. She is also a cohost on the Monday morning's Crazy Vibez Morning show on 97.5FM WKND, Hartford Connecticut with host Philip Duncan. The entertainment aspect aims to bring the Caribbean to your community, as well as promoting economic progress of our communities. She currently serves as the Real Estate professional giving advice on Real Estate matters and is a member of the executive team.
When not working, Natalie enjoys piano, Tai-Chi and meditation. She dedicates this recognition to her family especially to her grandmother, Birdlyn McClue; her parents, Carol and Ronald Grant; her sister, Suzanne Rossov; and daughter, Alexandria Grant.
