NASP Announces New Specialty Pharmacy Law Conference
One-Day conference immediately precedes the 2016 NASP Annual Meeting & Expo in Washington, DC
ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 26, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Association of Specialty Pharmacy (NASP) announced today a new Specialty Pharmacy Law Conference to be held in Washington, DC on September 26, immediately preceding the 2016 NASP Annual Meeting & Expo at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. The conference is intended for attorneys and others concerned with legal issues regarding the management and operation of a specialty pharmacy.
The preliminary program for the NASP Specialty Pharmacy Law Conference is available on the NASP website. Registration will open in mid-June. The registration fee for NASP members is $495 and for non-members, the fee is $695, which includes a one-year membership. The registration fee for the Specialty Pharmacy Law Conference may be applied toward registration for the 2016 NASP Annual Meeting & Expo, which begins the following day, September 27, at the Omni Shoreham.
Topics on the Specialty Pharmacy Law program include compliance, provider networks, employment law, transactions, legal and regulatory aspects of compounding, state pharmacy licensure, and the capstone topic, "CMS Opportunities and Challenges for Specialty Pharmacy." The conference is intended for general counsel and in-house counsel for national and regional specialty pharmacies, practicing attorneys in health care law, compliance officers or executives in specialty pharmacies or other settings concerned with the legal and regulatory aspects of operating a specialty pharmacy. Sessions will offer CLE credit.
