Nasatka Security Awarded $20 Million Order by Rapiscan Systems for U.S. Army Entry Control Point Project
CLINTON, Md., Dec. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Nasatka Security President David Natelson announced today a $20 million order from Torrance, CA-based Rapiscan Systems Inc., a leading global supplier of security inspection solutions.
In late September 2011, Rapiscan Systems, a division of OSI Systems Inc. announced that it had been awarded an approximate $98 million order from the U.S. Army for a range of surveillance and screening equipment for Entry Control Point (ECP) non-intrusive inspection requirements. As a subcontractor to Rapiscan, Nasatka Security will provide mobile barriers, ballistic and blast-rated guard shacks, and security device interface hardware to integrate a variety of new and existing force protection ECP equipment for the U.S. Army.
"This project demonstrates Nasatka Security's transition strategy and companywide movement from a traditional barrier manufacturer to a full-service perimeter integrator in the global security space," Natelson said.
This Rapiscan-based delivery order stems from a three-year, multi-award, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract valued at $248 million for all delivery orders awarded to Rapiscan and six other companies earlier this year by the U.S. Army.
For the past 12 months, Nasatka Security has worked to reorganize several areas within their company and most recently rebranded their service offerings from solely barrier protection to complete security integration solutions.
Additional security solutions include:
- Infrastructure and Perimeter Security Enhancements
- Information Technology
- Biometrics and RFD
- CCTV and Video Surveillance
- Industrial Fencing
- Design and Construction
- Serial or IP Sensor Integration
