WASHINGTON, June 24, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- NASA's Space Flight Awareness Program recently recognized Joyce Rhym of Waldorf, Md., executive assistant in the Office of the Chief Technologist at NASA Headquarters, for her outstanding support of human spaceflight.

Rhym was instrumental in the planning and execution of the NASA Ares I-X communications plan. She supported the guest operations for the launch of the Ares 1-X test flight at NASA's Kennedy Space Center, Fla., enabling stakeholders and NASA team members to participate in pre-launch activities and view the launch. She demonstrated outstanding professionalism and a positive "can do" attitude.
