NASA Federal Credit Union Launches Remote Deposit Service
Members can deposit checks anytime, anywhere through the Internet
UPPER MARLBORO, Md., June 9 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- NASA Federal Credit Union recently launched its free remote deposit service, allowing its members, businesses and individuals alike, the ability to deposit checks anytime, anywhere, from a computer with a scanner and Internet connection. NASA FCU remote deposit expands credit union members' options for depositing checks beyond its branches and worldwide network of service centers and ATMs.
"This free service provides NASA Federal Credit Union members across the U.S. with the convenience to deposit checks anytime, anywhere from the comfort of their home or office without stepping into a branch location," said Karen Friel, Vice President of Operations. "Remote deposit and our other online services essentially bring the credit union to our members, no matter where they live, saving them time and money." Another point of distinction for our remote deposit product is its flexible terms. Unlike remote deposit products from many other providers, NASA Federals' offering has no monthly fee for consumers and requires no minimum contract term or termination costs.
An online demo at: www.nasafcu.com/DemoRD outlines three easy steps to the new remote deposit service: login to the NASA FCU eBranch web site and select "remote deposit;" endorse, scan, and securely upload the check image; review images and totals of deposited checks; and click "submit." Up to 999 checks can be included in one deposit and deposited amounts are immediately credited to the account.
NASA Federal Credit Union will launch its mobile version of remote deposit in July. According to a recent study, close to two thirds (59 percent) of mobile banking customers are likely to adopt mobile remote deposit if the technology is offered by their financial institution.
"Remote deposit, and our soon-to-be-released mobile remote deposit, provides NASA Federal members with the technology-based financial services they need," said Friel. NASA Federal Credit Union members include individuals and their family members affiliated with NASA, related associations, or professionals working in science, technology, or engineering fields.
