"We're committed to becoming a leader in the online banking experience," said Doug Allman, president and CEO of NASA Federal Credit Union. "This year alone, NASA Federal launched Mobile Remote Deposit, Mobile Banking, and now a revamped web site, all integrated to provide our members with full-service online banking, using the latest available technology."
Earlier this month, NASA Federal introduced its Mobile Remote Deposit App, which allows its members to deposit checks anytime, anywhere, from a wireless mobile handheld device. Currently the App is available to iPhone® and AndroidTM users. NASA Federal's Mobile Remote Deposit expands credit union members' options for depositing checks beyond its worldwide network of service centers and ATMs.
Mobile Remote Deposit for smartphone expands NASA Federal's eBranch services which also includes MobileAPP, MobileWEB and MobileTEXT services, allowing members several ways to manage their finances on the go with a hand-held device.
Early in 2010, NASA Federal launched its Remote Deposit service using a PC connected to the Internet with a scanner. It also revamped its telephone banking services to improve the member service experience.
"With the rapid development of 'virtual banking' through mobile devices and the web, which our members deserve from their full-service credit union, NASA Federal has delivered a complete suite of technology-based services for members to manage their finances on the run," said Allman.
The revamped web site completes this year's introduction and integration of NASA Federal's online and mobile services, which bring the credit union to its members, no matter where they are, saving them time and money. The web site's second phase will feature financial decisioning tools that will recommend specific products and services based on the member's profile and individual financial goals.
NASA Federal members include individuals affiliated with NASA, related associations, or professionals working in science, technology, or engineering fields. For more information on NASA Federal Credit Union's Mobile Banking, Mobile Remote Deposit app and other services, visit: www.nasafcu.com.
