UPPER MARLBORO, Md., July 20 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- NASA Federal Credit Union today launched its free mobile banking service, allowing its members, businesses and individuals alike, the ability to access account information, verify balances, transfer funds and locate branches and ATMs from a cell phone or smart phone. NASA FCU Mobile Banking expands credit union customers' options to perform banking transactions beyond its worldwide network of branches, service centers and ATMs.

An online demo at: www.nasafcu.com/mobilebanking outlines how customers can enroll and access their accounts using one of three mobile banking platforms: MobileText, MobileWeb and MobileApp.
An estimated 78 U.S. financial institutions offer mobile apps in one of the three major app stores (iPhone®, Android and BlackBerry®) while only an estimated 9 institutions offer mobile apps in more than one major app store. NASA Federal Credit Union's mobile banking service was launched today with mobile apps in two of the three major marketplaces- iPhone® and BlackBerry®. The Android app is scheduled to be released in August.
