Naropa Professor Deborah Bowman to Speak at TEDxBoulder

BOULDER, Colo., Sept. 24, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Naropa University today announced that Deborah Bowman, professor and founder of the university's Transpersonal Counseling Psychology and Wilderness Therapy programs, has been selected to present at this year's TEDxBoulder. Bowman joins such speakers as Director of B Lab Colorado, Kim Coupounas; restaurateur Bobby Stuckey; and astronaut Dan Durda. Amid hundreds of applications for this year's TEDxBoulder, Bowman's story resonated deeply with the selection committee.

Bowman's presentation, "Falling into Grace," recounts the gripping story of her near-fatal ice climbing fall, in which she lost her right eye, yet gained a greater vision for living.
