COPENHAGEN, Denmark, June 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Napatech (OSE: NAPA), the world's leading supplier of accelerators for network management and security applications, today announced the debut of the world's first 100 Gbps CFP4-based analysis demonstration at Interop Tokyo 2014. The CFP4 form factor provides a smaller physical size for 100 Gbps interfaces than previous larger standards. The power consumption is also lower and it is available in a long range version.
Highlights:
- The CFP4 form factor and power budget were an important part of Napatech achieving PCI-SIG® compliance.
- The CFP4 Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) specifications were finalized in March 2014.
- The demonstration will be conducted using the following configuration:
- Dell PowerEdge R720 server
- Two Napatech PCI-SIG® compliant NT100E3-1-PTP accelerators
- Sumitomo Electric 100GBASE-LR4 CFP4 optical transceiver modules
- Napatech will debut the 100 Gbps CFP4-based analysis demonstration at Interop Tokyo, booth 6C17 from June 11-13.
