NALEO to Host Election 2016 Briefing at Republican National Convention in Cleveland Next Week

WASHINGTON, July 14, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) will host a briefing during the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The event, "We Run, We Vote, We Decide: Latinos and Election 2016", will take place at The City Club of Cleveland and feature a presentation and panel discussion with respected Latino leaders.
Telemundo National Correspondent Lori Montenegro will serve as moderator of the briefing panel, which will feature Former Puerto Rico Governor Luis Fortuño, The LIBRE Initiative Executive Director Daniel Garza, American Action Network Deputy Communications Director Ruth Guerra and NALEO Executive Director Arturo Vargas.
With more than 13.1 million Latino voters expected to cast ballots this November, the Latino community is poised to play a decisive role in the outcome of the 2016 Presidential contest and other key races throughout the nation. This briefing will focus on the growth of the Latino electorate nationwide and in key battleground states, the success of Latino candidates, and the various issues that are likely to affect Latino turnout this year.
