WASHINGTON, Feb. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) invites you to join us for the annual Edward R. Roybal Legacy Gala, held on Wednesday, February 9 at the Mayflower Renaissance Hotel in our nation's capital.
New York Assemblyman Peter Rivera will be honored with the Edward R. Roybal Award for Outstanding Public Service. The award recognizes current or former elected or appointed officials who have distinguished themselves in public office, and was established by NALEO as a tribute to the organization's founder, the late U.S. Rep. Edward R. Roybal.
Confirmed guests include members of Congress, diplomats and NASA astronaut Jose Hernandez.
