NALEO Educational Fund Available to Comment on the Role and Impact of the Latino Population in New Census Numbers
WASHINGTON, Dec. 20, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The U.S. Census Bureau tomorrow releases its official 2010 population figures for the nation, and congressional apportionment totals for each state (apportionment is the process of dividing all the seats in the U.S. House among the 50 states based on population figures gathered from the U.S. Census).
Several states are expected to experience gains in the number of House seats, and the NALEO Educational Fund is available to speak about how the Latino population played a significant role in those gains, and what that means for Latino political empowerment.
