ISSAQUAH, Wash., Aug. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- NAES Corporation has assumed the operation and maintenance of Kings Mountain Energy Center in Kings Mountain, N.C. Owned by NTE Carolinas LLC, Kings Mountain is a 475MW combined-cycle, natural gas-fired electric generating plant. The facility is a sister plant to NTE's Middletown Energy Center in Middletown, Ohio, which NAES has operated since May of this year.

Kings Mountain Energy Center has the capacity to power approximately 400,000 homes and represents an investment of $440 million, providing numerous benefits to the surrounding communities and their economies. The facility is equipped with an advanced Mitsubishi 501GAC air-cooled combustion turbine, a Vogt HRSG and a Toshiba steam turbine.
