Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon Returns To The Grand Strand This October
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C., Sept. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon returns to the Myrtle Beach area this fall. The 13.1-mile race takes place on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015, but race events will be happening throughout the entire weekend.

In addition to the main event, the Grand Strand will play host to a health and fitness expo, the Coastal 5K race and the popular 1.5-mile Doggie Dash. The expo and two races will take place at the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes.
The half-marathon course, starting at Coastal Grand Mall, features the best of the Myrtle Beach area and has more than five miles of oceanfront running. With a flat course and only seven turns throughout, this course is the definition of a runner's dream.
The weekend's events will include:
- 2-day Health and Fitness Expo Oct. 16, 2 to 7 p.m.; and Oct. 17, 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Marina Inn at Grande Dunes, located at 8121 Amalfi Place in Myrtle Beach
- Coastal 5k Oct. 17, 7:30 a.m. start time, Marina Inn at Grande Dunes
- 1.5-mile Doggie Dash Oct. 17, 9:15 a.m. start time, Marina Inn at Grande Dunes
- 13.1-mile Mini Marathon Oct. 18, 7 a.m. start time, Coastal Grand Mall, located at 2000 Coastal Grand Circle in Myrtle Beach
