MyLife.com Traffic Soars 56% YOY in September 2010, According to Compete.com
Web's Most Comprehensive People Search Service Is The Third-Highest Gainer Year Over Year
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 3, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Unique monthly visits to MyLife.com have increased by 56% year over year (YOY) in September 2010, making the people search service the third highest overall gainer according to online analytics company Compete.com. MyLife – the web's most comprehensive people search and connections site – topped 15.7 million unique visits in September, good for 47th overall on Compete's Top 50 list.
MyLife.com's growth strategy includes introducing new vertical search services to drive interest and augment membership. In 2010, MyLife introduced QuickMatch Singles for dating and singles connections, and re-launched Reunion.com for classmate reconnections. MyLife's database of over 38 million registered U.S. members makes it the category leader in people search.
"MyLife's impressive surge in unique visitors per month is a testament to our broad consumer appeal. Our unique services help members find a variety of important people in one place, rather than just their friends," said Jeff Tinsley, CEO of MyLife. "Over the last few months we've introduced new search verticals, such as QuickMatch Singles and the re-launched Reunion.com, and we plan to introduce others moving forward. By expanding our search capability into specific verticals, we've broadened our appeal, driven consumer engagement and increased overall revenue."
MyLife.com is currently the most comprehensive database on unique individuals, with more than 205 million U.S. profiles, 1.2 billion total worldwide records and nearly 800,000 active paid subscribers. MyLife is the only website that provides users with information on who is searching for them and other important activity related to their own profile.
