Myles Berman Announces 2013-2014 Chicago-Kent College of Law Endowed Scholarship Recipient
LOS ANGELES, Dec. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Myles L. Berman, whose gift since 1999 established the Top Gun DUI Defense Attorney® Myles L. Berman® Endowed Scholarship, announces third year student Marino Branes as the recipient for the 2013-2014 academic year. This scholarship is managed by Chicago-Kent College of Law and the endowment provides financial assistance to students from Southern California based on academic merit and financial need.
Originally from Peru, Mr. Branes spent time in the Marine Corp while completing his college studies. After graduating, he chose Chicago-Kent primarily because of its location and writing program. Mr. Branes describes his experience at IIT Chicago-Kent as transformative and is maintaining a general focus of studies with the expectation to graduate in 2014 with a Juris Doctorate law degree.

MYLES L. BERMAN graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1979 and the University of Illinois in 1976. He was admitted to the State Bar of Illinois in 1980 and the State Bar of California in 1987.
