'My World' Interactive Showcase Takes Center Stage at The Cable Show 2010
NCTA's Industry Exhibit Highlights Nexus of Entertainment and Technology and the Many Benefits of Broadband to American Consumers
WASHINGTON, March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The many ways in which cable's innovative content and distribution platform improve the way consumers live, work, and play will be featured in "My World – Powered by Cable," a forward-looking, consumer-focused content and technology pavilion at The Cable Show 2010.
The Cable Show 2010, the 59th Annual Convention and International Exposition of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA), will take place May 11-13 in Los Angeles.
"My World" will be a 27,000 square-foot exhibit built to resemble a movie studio lot, and it will include homes, schools, parks, and businesses. The special exhibit is being produced by NCTA in cooperation with Time Warner Cable – the cable system operator in Los Angeles – cable programming networks, technology solutions providers, and other select partners.

In addition to a variety of lifestyle-themed environments, a special "Red Carpet" section within the cityscape will highlight cable's leadership in providing rich, diverse and cutting-edge content that continues to receive critical acclaim.
Organizers are planning to announce shortly the availability of a mobile application which enables attendees to use interactive maps on their Smartphones to navigate My World's many venues, learn more about what is inside, and download information on the products and services inside the interactive exhibit, among other features.
