NEW YORK, Feb. 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- MWWPR today announced that Heather Wilson has joined the firm as Executive Vice President and Managing Director to lead the firm's crisis and issues management practice. Wilson is a highly-respected leader in the areas of media and corporate affairs with extensive experience crafting communications programs tailored to a host of complex issues. Her deep international experience and industry focus include advising multinational corporations on corporate reputation matters, media strategy and crisis communications.

Prior to her time at AMG, Wilson was an Executive Vice President at Weber Shandwick, where she led crisis and issues management and developed corporate reputation campaigns for several multinational clients. Among her many accomplishments, Wilson led crisis communications around the crash landing of US Air flight 1549, "The Miracle on the Hudson." She was also instrumental in crafting the agency's digital crisis management protocol and led crisis and media trainings across the globe.
