Massachusetts ed tech company nominated again for award it won in 2013
NEWBURYPORT, Mass., July 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Muzzy Lane Software announced today it has been nominated as a finalist for two game-based learning products it developed in partnership with McGraw-Hill Education. Practice Medical Office and Practice Spanish: Study Abroad have been named finalists for the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council Awards in the category Innovative Technology of the Year - Ed Tech. Muzzy Lane was nominated for the same award in 2013 and went on to win for another GBL product developed with McGraw-Hill Education: Government in Action.
"We're honored to be named a finalist for a Technology Leadership Award by MassTLC," said Muzzy Lane CEO Conall Ryan, "This further validates our partnership with McGraw-Hill Education and the future of game-based learning. Getting two nominations for innovations in EdTech is especially gratifying."
Both of the nominated games are part of the McGraw-Hill Education Practice Series, aimed at higher education. They were nominated for the game design itself as well as the backend technology which facilitates seamless integration into the classroom and detailed assessment for students and teachers. Practice Medical Office uses conversations that focus on teaching the soft skills of courtesy and professionalism so vital to an office environment. Practice Spanish: Study Abroad places students in a foreign city using the native language to navigate and accomplish specific goals. This kind of immersive learning is a hallmark of the McGraw-Hill Education Practice series and Muzzy Lane's underlying platform.
The winners of the MassTLC 2015 Awards will be announced at the 2015 MassTLC Leadership Awards Gala at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. Visit http://mhpractice.com to view the nominated products and play a free demo.
