NEW YORK, Nov. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Mutual of America announced the recipients of its 2014 Community Partnership Award, which annually honors the outstanding contributions that nonprofit organizations, in partnership with public, private and other social sector organizations, make to society.
This year's recipient of the Governor Hugh L. Carey Award, presented to the national award-winning program, is the Surgery Weekend Program. Through this innovative program, a team of world-class medical professionals have come together, volunteering their time and talent, to provide the gift of reconstructive surgery, dental and health-related services to financially disadvantaged children with a deformity due to a birth defect, accident, illness or trauma.
