Etheridge and DeAngelo Keynote Day Two; Day One Keynote Features Congressmen Lou Correa and Dana Rohrabacher: "So Goes California, So Goes the Nation"
ANAHEIM, Calif., Sept. 24, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- In the entertainment capital of the world, musician and activist Melissa Etheridge and cannabis pioneer Steve DeAngelo will discuss how culture and the arts can help bring cannabis patients, consumers, and businesses into the mainstream. That discussion - "The Cultural Shift: The Mainstreaming of Cannabis Through Arts and Entertainment" - will headline the second day of the National Cannabis Industry Association's California Cannabis Business Conference, taking place October 22 and 23 at the Hilton Anaheim in Anaheim, California.
Day One of the conference will feature a keynote by two cannabis policy leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives - Rep. Lou Correa (D-CA) and Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA). Congressmen Correa and Rohrabacher will highlight California's critical role in policy change across the country in a discussion titled, "So Goes California, So Goes the Nation: A Federal Perspective."
The two keynotes serve as powerful frames for California's most influential cannabis business event, which is expected to draw 3,000 industry professionals to Anaheim for two days of in-depth focus on the world's largest adult-use cannabis market. The first year of California's adult-use industry has been tumultuous, and the California Cannabis Business Conference is an unmatched opportunity for business leaders, investors, policy makers, and media to assess the present and plan for the future in the Golden State.
More than 100 industry experts will share their knowledge in six subject matter tracks:
- Distribution, Retail, and Delivery
- Cultivation and Manufacturing
- Local Licensing
- Industry and Political Forecasting
- The Future Is Now, including intellectual property protection, compliance, and data security
- Emerging Topics, including financing cannabis businesses and building industry diversity
The full agenda can be seen here. The Day One Keynote with Reps. Correa and Rohrabacher will take place Monday, October 22, at 10:15am. The Day Two Keynote with Melissa Etheridge and Steve DeAngelo will take place Tuesday, October 23, at 10:30am.
