Mushroom Networks Unveils Next Generation Streamer™ PRO with Innovative 'Video Armor' Technology
Award-Winning Solution Delivers Unmatched, Instant, Portable Video and Audio Broadcasting for Professionals from Any Remote Location
SAN DIEGO, July 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Mushroom Networks, Inc., innovators of Broadband Bonding™ technology, announced new features to its Streamer PRO award-winning solution for streaming live, high-quality video to the web, including 'Video Armor' technology. Video Armor shields any wireless card problems from the video application, protecting video streams from wireless card drops, packet loss, and latency or jitter problems.
Mushroom's Streamer PRO delivers the ability to stream high quality video from any location, to any content delivery network (CDN) using any digital video camera. The technology is ideal for broadcasting live events, including news, sports and concerts. Music artists, for example, can use Streamer PRO to inexpensively produce live concerts to directly connect with fans.
Streamer PRO works by natively supporting bonding of up to now eight 3G / 4G broadband connections together into one pipe specifically built to handle the demands of live video streaming. It features a built-in adaptive video encoder, so webcasters only need their camera, and are no longer required to carry a separate encoder for content streaming. Additional updates to Streamer PRO also include:
- Seamless video streaming to any video server or CDN;
- Adaptive encoding that leverages Network Calculus to optimize video quality in any condition.
- Option to add satellite, wired or any other type of Internet line into the mix to bond;
- Built-in, rechargeable battery, external Anton-Bauer or IDX V-mount battery options;
- Cloud-based, remote configuration/management, as well as on device LCD for monitoring and configuration;
- Support for SD-SDI, HD-SDI, s-video and composite inputs with up to 1080p HD resolution;
- Additional Wi-Fi access point capability;
- Option to add satellite, wired or any other type of Internet line into the mix to bond;
- Lightweight device, with capability to attach to a camera if preferred
"The updated features help make Streamer PRO an even better option for broadcasters in need of a streaming technology that is both high quality and cost effective" said Dr. Cahit Akin, CEO, Mushroom Networks. "With its portability and affordability, the Streamer PRO is rapidly evolving into an ideal choice for artists who need commercial-quality webcasting to promote their talents around the world. They can easily send audio and video while onstage, on a tour bus, or literally from any sized-venue for optimal fan engagement."
Weighing less than three pounds, the Streamer PRO is battery powered, can attach directly to a broadcast camera, or can be used with the optional small bag. The portability of the device increases its applications musicians and entertainment professionals. It comes standard with USB ports for wireless modems, various types of video input ports and the capability to stream to virtually any CDN and video server.
Streamer PRO is available through select channels. For more information, call (858) 452-1031 or visit http://www.mushroomnetworks.com.
