Murray Books Retains TransMedia Group to Publicize Judging Books by Their Covers Is Easy When They're Shaped Like Wine Bottles, Soccer Balls or Whatever They're About
BOCA RATON, Fla., Feb. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Murray Books, Australia, (www.murraybooks.com) has retained TransMedia Group to help revolutionize the struggling book publishing industry by distributing books in the shape of what they're about.
TransMedia (www.transmediagroup.com) said it will publicize the entry into the US market of Murray Books' globally acclaimed TOOTS collection of tactile books whose shapes reflect their content, such as a book about wine comes in the shape of a wine bottle, a book about chocolate comes in a box of chocolate, which actually smells chocolaty, etc.
TransMedia said it was engaged also to do marketing and sales of Murray Books' TOOTS collection as gift items, which comprises books in the shape of soccer balls, footballs and perfume bottles.
Peter Murray, CEO and author of Murray Books, said he selected TransMedia Group because the firm also has a publishing division, its founder, Tom Madden, is a published author, and it's noted for introducing innovative products.
Murray said he expects TransMedia to raise awareness nationwide how fetchingly and engrossingly TOOTS books exquisitely resembles their subject matter. He said TransMedia already is in discussion with a major corporation about publishing a book in the shape of a sea turtle, signifying how they protect wildlife on the Gulf Coast.
"We're thrilled to represent Murray Books; these are beautiful book designs that make great gifts as they bring subjects and histories to life so vividly you can almost taste and smell what you're reading about," said TransMedia's CEO Tom Madden.
'Murray Books are not only the most luxurious books ever developed, but there is a title for every member of the family, from sports and fashion to food and wine," he said.
TransMedia plans to fire up publicity for Murray Books starting this month with a goal toward creating maximum awareness of collections through traditional, as well as social media reaching retail chains, wholesalers and publishing companies nationwide.
"Murray Books will rejuvenate the time-honored practice of giving books as gifts, as well as how businesses and corporations use books for brand merchandising," adds Madden.
