Murata to expand multilayer ceramic capacitors production at Wuxi Murata Electronics

SMYRNA, Ga., Nov. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Murata announced that it is expanding its multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC) production at the Wuxi Murata Electronics Co., Ltd. site in China in response to increased product demand. Construction will begin this month and significantly increase manufacturing space. Once completed, the new facility will be one of the largest in Murata's MLCC production portfolio.

Wuxi Murata Electronics Co., Ltd. was established in 1994 and employs over 10,000 people. In addition to greater production capacity, the build-out will also include new office buildings that will be developed concurrently. Construction is expected to be completed in December 2019.
