Munro & Associates Hires Bryce as Director of Business Development
TROY, Mich., May 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Munro & Associates, a consulting engineering firm specializing in predictive design and manufacturing methods, recently appointed Gerald (Gerry) S. Bryce as a director of business development based at the company's Troy, Mich. facility. The announcement was made by Sandy Munro, chief executive officer of the firm. In his new role, Bryce will be responsible for business creation and customer satisfaction for clients in the automotive, truck, aerospace and defense industries.
Bryce brings a variety of skills and extensive expertise in product engineering and design, program management, manufacturing operations management, sales and business development to Munro. He has held a variety of executive, managerial and technical positions with a number of large and small corporations in North America and has done business in Europe and Japan, as well.

Most recently, he served as director of business development at EES, Inc, the engineering services subsidiary of Volvo-Eicher Commercial Vehicles in Farmington Hills, Mich. Prior to this, Bryce served as the director of sales for Weldmation, Inc., a robotic welding and assembly systems company in Madison Heights, Mich., where, in a year and a half, he led the team which nearly tripled sales over the previous four year average.
From 1992 to 2004, he held positions of increasing responsibly at MSX International, at the time one of the world's largest engineering service suppliers. Upon leaving the company in 2004 as director of the Ford Business Unit for engineering services, he was responsible for the largest unit in the engineering division. Prior to MSX, he served in a variety of positions at leading automotive and manufacturing organizations, including Chrysler, General Motors, as well as other first-tier suppliers.
Bryce earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering with an automotive design major from General Motors Institute (now Kettering University) in Flint, Mich. and has taken masters classes in engineering management at the University of Michigan in Dearborn. He is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA), Dayton Defense, Air Force Association (AFA) and NationalDefenseIndustrialAssociation(NDIA). He has served in the United States Army and the United States Naval Air Reserve.
