MundoVino, a Member of The Winebow Group, Appoints Diego Lo Prete as Senior Vice President
RICHMOND, Va., Dec. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- MundoVino, a member of The Winebow Group and a leading U.S. importer of wines from Argentina, Chile, Spain, Portugal and beyond, is pleased to announce the appointment of Diego Lo Prete as Senior Vice President. Lo Prete will report to David Townsend, President and CEO of The Winebow Group.
Lo Prete, who will be based in The Winebow Group's headquarters in Richmond, Virginia, will direct the overall strategy for MundoVino, overseeing all operations as they pertain to sales, brand management, and supplier relations, while working closely with wine education and marketing. He will lead a national team of dedicated specialists working exclusively in MundoVino's designated regions.

Lo Prete brings to MundoVino over 20 years of experience in the wine industry. He developed his career in the United States, Argentina, Spain and other key markets around the globe. Most recently, Lo Prete led the reorganization and relaunch of The San Francisco Wine Exchange, a 40-year-old sales and marketing fine wine agency. Prior to that, he headed global marketing at Barcelona-based Grupo Codorníu, overseeing over 80 markets. Lo Prete holds a master's degree from Northwestern University and advance wine credentials from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust.
