As part of the network's continued commitment to producing original, interactive and game-changing music programming, mun2 has re-launched its weekly bilingual variety show 18 & Over in January 2011, making it a LIVE music countdown show. The multi-platform, two-hour show offers viewers culturally relevant news, music entertainment and direct access to guest stars who connect with fans LIVE during the show via mun2.tv. The fast paced show offers an unprecedented interactive experience where artists encourage and activate viewers to vote for their music and make them the #1 artist on the countdown.
18 & Over LIVE also introduced an all-new social media campaign where artists activate viewer voting via twitter messages to their fans. During his guest appearance, international Bachata star Prince Royce tweeted his followers to make him #1 on the countdown. Within 45 minutes of his tweet, 1300 questions were submitted online to from fans across the country. His tweet was re-tweeted by fans, and generated an impressive 112,000 page views. Also, in just two days, Latin artist Tito el Bambino sent over 1,000 users to mun2.tv/18 voting where they voted for his new music video.
Since its January 2011 re-launch with featured guest stars Pitbull and Prince Royce, 18 & Over LIVE has experienced strong deliveries with a total audience reach of over 1 Million Persons 2+ during its first month on air. The show has already delivered an average of 79,000 Persons 2+ and 35,000 Persons 18-34 during its 2pm LIVE Saturday telecasts, an increase of +84% against prior month among young Latinos. 18 & Over LIVE has quickly become one of the most watched programs during mun2's "You're On Weekend" original programming time slot.
Also re-energizing mun2's 2011 music programming grid are the cable network's mun2 Presents originals, an hour-long show that offers unprecedented interviews with today's biggest artists. As part of the year's mun2 Presents offerings, mun2 teamed up with Latin award-winning artists Wisin y Yandel for an exclusive, one of a kind, LIVE listening event of the duo's latest album "Los Vaqueros: El Regreso."
