Mummies of the World Enters Final Days at OMSI
Exhibit closes Sunday, September 8
Last chance to see the largest exhibition of real mummies ever assembled!
PORTLAND, Ore., Aug. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Only a few days remain before Mummies of the World: The Exhibition, the largest collection of real mummies and related artifacts ever assembled, leaves OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science & Industry). Set to close in less than two weeks, the chance to see this once in a life-time exhibit is almost over for the people of the Pacific Northwest.
"We encourage our visitors to seize the occasion to come face-to-face with the specimens of this unique collection, before they set forth across the country, and eventually, across the sea to their respective home museums," said OMSI President Nancy Stueber.
Through a fantastic opening and the over 70,000 guests that have experienced it so far, Mummies of the World was thrilled to announce and celebrate its one millionth visitor during its time in Portland.
"We are so pleased to have been able to bring Mummies of the World to the Portland market, and to provide the public here with this rare opportunity to learn about the history, stories and science involved in the study of mummies," says Marc Corwin, president of American Exhibitions, Inc. "Those who are interested in experiencing the exhibition, be sure and plan ahead, as this is their last chance to see it before the mummies make their move to Baltimore, Maryland."
Mummies of the World at OMSI closes Sunday, September 8, 2013. For more information, please visit omsi.edu or mummiesoftheworld.com.
