Multiple Sclerosis Foundation Retains TransMedia Group to Pack its 25th Anniversary Gala Dec. 3 With Celebrities, Entertainment and Generous Servings of Corporate Sponsors and Publicity
PR Firm Also to Publicize MSF Programs and Services It Provides Nationwide From New Expanded Headquarters in Fort Lauderdale
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., June 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation (www.msfocus.org) will cap one of its most productive years with a glittering, star-studded 25th Anniversary Gala on Dec. 3 and has retained TransMedia Group (www.transmediagroup.com) to pack the event with celebrities, entertainment amid generous servings of sponsors, auction items and publicity.
The publicity program also will underscore how MSF's relocating its national headquarters to a more expansive facility at 6520 North Andrews Avenue here will help the not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization to meet the increasing demand for its nationally accessible programs and services.
"Our publicity will underscore how this new facility, combined with streamlined operations and a culminating Silver Anniversary Gala will dramatically enhance and expand its capacity to serve the increasing needs of the MS community nationwide," said Thomas J. Madden, CEO of TransMedia Group.
The gala to be held at the Hollywood Beach Marriott will honor Ben Wade Thrower, MD along with a CEO of a major corporation to be announced later.
MSF Co-Executive Director Jules Kuperberg said one of TransMedia's goals will be to recruit corporate sponsors whose funds will help us to meet increasing needs of the MS community across the country. Kuperberg said MSF selected TransMedia because of its history in establishing and promoting such successful charity events as the Rita Hayworth Gala that has raised millions of dollars for The Alzheimer's Association.
"TransMedia will help to illuminate our primary goal, which is to continue to improve the quality of life for those diagnosed with MS, by providing information and vital assistance programs for them, their families and caregivers," says MSF Co-Executive Director Alan Segaloff.
MSF Director of Operations Kasey Minnis said TransMedia's main message to disseminate will be that since 1986 the mission of MSF has been to enhance the quality of life for those affected by this chronic disease by providing at no cost a broad array of nationally accessible programs and services designed to help maintain health, safety, self-sufficiency, and personal well-being. "I'm sure TransMedia will be a great help to us."
