The markets for wireless smartphone handsets and tablet computers utilizing touchscreen technologies have experienced exponential sales growth over the last year.  The Yuvee, Inc. assets describe multifunction keyboard and virtual key technologies with highly relevant features to devices in both the wireless smartphone and tablet computer markets.  The patents address potential improvements in these fields such as multifunction inputs on a single key, increased permutations for physical and touchscreen keyboard functionality in relation to controlling multiple application and feature modes, and potentially address future growth of virtual keyboard user interfaces such as LCD-based keyboards among other growth areas.
