Mudd Joins Public Relations Counselors Academy
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Feb. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Public Relations Society of America recently added award-winning and accredited public relations counselor and strategist Jason Mudd, APR of AXIA (ak-see-a) Public Relations, to its Counselors Academy.
The Counselors Academy, a professional interest section of PRSA, limits its membership to accredited public relations counselors and consultants with more than 10 years of professional experience who are also PRSA members. Mudd is the only Counselors Academy member representing the North Florida PRSA chapter, according to the national PRSA member directory.
Established in 1947, PRSA provides professional development, sets standards of excellence and promotes ethical principles for more than 21,000 public relations members across the United States.
Mudd will share his public relations experience and insight to the benefit of other PRSA and Counselors Academy members across the nation, as well as those members' corporations and clients.
"Being a Counselors Academy member allows for greater information exchange and expert insight among seasoned public relations counselors, which benefits AXIA Public Relations' clients as well as my fellow members' organizations," Mudd said.
Mudd is principal of AXIA Public Relations and a graduate of the acclaimed Missouri School of Journalism. He previously worked in telecommunications, not-for-profit, sports, journalism and entertainment before founding AXIA Public Relations. Today, as the head of AXIA, Mudd and his award-winning public relations team provide public relations counsel and public relations campaigns to clients, including publicly traded and privately held national and global corporations.
