MTN Strengthens Leadership Team Further With New CFO
MIRAMAR, Fla., July 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- MTN Satellite Communications (MTN) announces it has further strengthened its executive team with the appointment of Mark Walter to the role of chief financial officer (CFO). Given the roll-out of MTN Nexus™, the industry's first-ever hybrid network, Walter's appointment is timely as the company addresses ever-changing customer needs and service delivery around the world.

With more than 20 years' experience, Mark comes from Sheridan Healthcare, where he was CFO, and led merger and acquisition, capital markets, finance and accounting activities. Prior to Sheridan, Mark served as CFO of Ocean Bank and JM Family Enterprises, Inc. respectively, as well as vice president of corporate tax and director of SEC reporting at Ryder System, Inc. and senior manager of financial services at KPMG LLP.
Peg Grayson, MTN's former CFO, moved to MTN Government Services (MTNGS) as president of this division, along with MTN's founder, Richard Hadsall, now CTO of MTNGS. Ms. Grayson also brought on Mike Shakarji, formerly of Inmarsat, as vice president of business development. Catherine Melquist, formerly of Astrium Services, joined MTNGS as vice president of market development. MTN also recently added Chris Leber, formerly of ViaSat, as executive vice president of commercial business development, as the company focuses in on increased value and service excellence in its core markets.
